How I Got Started
When I first started with Beachbody, I had to wait for my first order. I thought, "what am I going to do while I wait?"
My coach's accountability group wasn't starting until February 6th, I was anxious and since my mind was set to do this I was afraid if I didn't act now I would fail before I even started. My coach told me she was going to start this "Sugar-Free" group on January 16th and she wanted me to join this group. The tiny voices in my head kept saying, "SUGAR-FREE???" over and over and over! I didn't know if I could do it. But then I remembered 5 years ago when I quit smoking cold turkey and I never looked back. So, that gave me some hope. BUT...I also wasn't sure what sugar-free really meant. Sugar is in absolutely everything, fruit too!
I learned that refined sugar is a big no-no, white bread is a big no-no, chocolate is obviously a no-no, fruit I turned to in order to crave my sweet tooth. Dry red wine in moderation was OK; 4 oz that is :-) Cocoa was good, because it's natural. This group was very informative. I learned so much in this group that I was impressed. I was glad I joined this group, not only for the information, but because I lost weight!
Who would of thought that not eating sugar would cause you to lose weight. This may sound ridiculous, but cutting out the junk sugar really does make a world of difference. Once you've cut it out for a week then try to eat one tiny piece of chocolate really makes you cringe, trust me!
This group was a week long sugar-free group. I took it one step further and went sugar-free until February 17th! I was extremely proud of myself. My body was full of toxins from all of the medication I take, so if I could rid my body of sugar it was one less toxin to get rid of!
I felt superb!
The journey continues~
