I'm suppose to eat how many times a day???
I literally cringe when I hear people say they're on a diet. Diet's restrict what you're allowed to eat and that sets people up to fail. In the short term of things you may loose all of the weight you have set on your goal, but what happens when you begin to eat 'real' food again? You gain real weight again, then what? ALL of that hard work you put into loosing that weight has disappeared and you're back to square one. This flip-flopping yo-yoing can reek havoc on your body, physically and more so mentally.
What I'm doing is NOT dieting, but rather a lifestyle change. I've changed my eating habits totally and I get to eat food that tastes delicious & I get to eat 5-6 times a day! Yup, 5-6 times a day. You might be thinking, "How is it possible to eat 5-6 times a day?!" You have 3 meals and 3 snacks. If you space the meals out, it will generally fit into a schedule of eating every 3 hours. Try not to eat 3 hours before bedtime though. If you eat every 3 hours, you repeatedly reset your metabolism so it stays in high gear, and you burn fat all day long.
I admit, I do sometimes, have a difficult time fitting that 6th meal in of the day. I do always make sure I have had my main meals though and that they're good meals! I also make sure my 2 snacks are good snacks. My go-to favorites are Turkey Roll-Ups and Wheat Thins & Cheddar Cheese! I like to put cheddar cheese inside the nitrate-free turkey slices. Oh, yum!
My go-to lunch is a full salad. I use Brianna's Real French Vinaigrette Salad Dressing. There's ZERO sugar in it and it's delish!!! I love to put nuts, fruit and chicken in my salad! It makes for a full bellied lunch!
My lifestyle change doesn't call for me to eat small amounts or to diet. It calls for portion control and to eat delicious foods.
